Welcome to Blob Quest, the fish-flinging roguelite! Fling and float your way to the top of the ocean to finally show this determined Blobfish what life on the surface is all about!

This game is a submission for FishFest 2024, a game jam centering around the theme of Fish.

To move the Blobfish, click and drag in the opposite direction that you'd like to travel in. When you let go, the Blobfish will fling itself in your chosen direction -- but watch out, sea mines litter the way to the surface and will end your run early!

This Blobfish isn't the best swimmer, so you'll have to upgrade your way to victory! Each time you run out of energy, you'll be able to purchase upgrades from the shop to increase your flinging power, increase your energy, and more! It's up to you to find a winning strategy!

This was a super fun and short game! I can definitely see this becoming a fun mobile game. I loved the squishy blob fish.

One small complaint I have is that I had no idea the goal WAS to hit the fish. I assumed they were obstacles and tried dodging around them. You can guess how slow my starting upgrades were to get.

If you do plan on expanding this into a larger mobile game, I would suggest having some fun collectibles on the way up. (For example, a bubble that boosts you straight up with a lot of speed).

Other than that, this was fantastic for a 7 day game!
